Confirmation is a one year program of education and formation for youth and adults. This rite is now called Affirmation of Baptism, when a person begins one’s adult participation in the community of faith.
Classes meet one Saturday a month from September through May, from 10- 2, culminating in the Rite occurring on Pentecost Sunday at the 10:30 am Worship/Eucharist.
The youth also meet on Sunday mornings from 9:45 – 10:15 for Bible Study.
We understand Confirmation as a beginning and not an ending; a recognition of that first and primary sacrament, Baptism, which they now commit themselves to living in a life of devotion to God, of communion with the church, and of service to others.
Parents of youth entering seventh grade and up, who have not had instruction are encouraged to contact the church for information about upcoming classes.
It is expected that youth and their parents will have an active role in the life of this faith community.
